Why I created Taryon
Large enterprises generally have dedicated security teams, specialist partners and the budgets to support them. For small and medium-sized organisations and non-profits, the reality is often different. Their priority is their core business or mission, while cybersecurity competes for limited expertise, capacity and budget. But cybersecurity can no longer be treated as a secondary concern. Threats continue to evolve and regulations such as NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act are increasing the expectations placed on organisations. I believe smaller organisations should have access to experienced cybersecurity leadership too — without having to build the security organisation of a multinational. That is one of the reasons I created Taryon.

I am Alexander Ehlen, a senior security and IT professional with more than 20 years of experience across cybersecurity and IT management, risk, internal control, compliance and project & programme management.
My work connects strategy with tactical and operational execution. I have led transformations and transitions in multinational corporate environments as well as smaller organisations and non-profits, including healthcare and education.
Taryon was founded to give organisations access to experienced cybersecurity leadership in a flexible, business-driven model: pragmatic where possible, rigorous where necessary and always focused on sustainable results.
